Polly Ambermoon provides acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for pregnancy and post-pregnancy issues, natural fertility and assisted conception/IVF procedures. She works with any known underlying causes of infertility, in addition to unexplained fertility issues. Polly has previously worked in collaboration with fertility clinics in Australia and was an accredited Allied Health Professional at Greenslopes Private Hospital and Care Fertility IVF clinic in Brisbane.

Pregnancy Care: Acupuncture provides a natural solution for a range of pregnancy-related conditions such as morning sickness, fatigue, migraine & headaches, constipation, backache & pelvic pain, varicose veins, anxiety and low/high blood pressure. Acupuncture can also be used for natural labour preparation and pain relief during labour. Acupuncture & moxibustion can help to turn breech babies from week 33.   

Post-Natal Care:  Polly provides nurturing and nourishing treatments to aid recovery after pregnancy and labour. After birth, acupuncture is used by new mothers to increase energy levels, promote healing & recovery, wound healing, for ongoing abdominal pain and/or persistent bleeding, reduce post-natal depression, constipation, mastitis relief and to increase breast milk flow and production. 

Female Fertility: Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for natural fertility and assisted conception (IVF & IUI), involves resolving and harmonising physiological imbalances in the body from underlying causes of infertility such as endometriosis, polycystic ovaries, blocked fallopian tubes, pelvic inflammatory disease, ammenhorrea, menstrual difficulties following cessation of the oral contraceptive pill, as well as unexplained infertility. Pre-conception care for around 3 months prior to trying to conceive, is also prioritised to provide the best outcome for conception and continuing health of the mother and baby during pregnancy. 

Male Fertility: Acupuncture is recommended for men just prior to the time a woman is ovulating to help boost sperm motility and function, when there are no sperm abnormalities. More frequent treatments are given over the 6-8 weeks when there are abnormalities present such as low sperm count, poor morphology and motility issues.
